Instructions for Submitting Matters to the ADR Magistrate Judge

The court has appointed the Honorable Elizabeth D. Laporte as the new ADR Magistrate Judge, effective upon the retirement of the Honorable Wayne D. Brazil on October 2, 2009.

ADR Local Rules 2-4, 4-9, 5-10, and 6-10 require that certain matters concerning complaints and attendance at ADR sessions be presented in writing directly to the ADR Magistrate Judge (not the assigned judge) and may not be filed. These submissions should be addressed as follows:

ADR Magistrate Judge Elizabeth D. Laporte
c/o ADR Unit
United States District Court, N.D. California
450 Golden Gate Ave.
San Francisco, CA 94102

With prior approval of the legal staff of the ADR Unit, fax or email submissions may sometimes be entertained. To obtain such approval, you must call the ADR Unit at 415-522-2199.
